The other thing that has made an impact on computers is the price and number of manufacturers. Just 15 years ago, most people could not afford a computer.

There is a lot more to computers than chatting. One can watch the latest movies or sports; Shopping has become easy – one can sit in the comfort of the home and order. Security is the biggest concern of computer technology today. Individuals can easily access other computers, steal files, passwords, gain access to credit cards or personal history- and with a click of a button all this information can be shared with your worst enemy.
The social impact of Computers has led to a redefination of our lives and vastly improved our knowledge. We can now go to the moon every night and travel across the different galaxies from the privacy of our homes. However, computers are also detrimental, especially for children. In many cases, the computer has replaced the natural childhood activities like sports, walking, nature, reading and being social. The social impact of computers has also started many secret lives and need to be used with some constrain. Computers impact everything we do these days but in order for children to derive the positive benefits, its use must be monitored and regulated.
